How We Support

BCIS specialises in supporting all learners, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), to achieve qualifications and advance in their careers within an inclusive learning environment.

We ensure that reasonable adjustments are in place so students have fair access to assessments and examinations and can achieve their full potential and qualifications.

Small class sizes

Classes are limited to a maximum of 15 learners, allowing students to receive individual support and guidance.

Personalised learning plans

Plans are tailored to each student's needs, goals and preferred learning style.

Dedicated Key Adults

Regular check-ins, encouragement and pastoral support, including access to speech and language therapy where appropriate.

Teaching Assistant support

Teaching Assistants help students access learning and develop confidence.

Wellbeing support

Counselling, mentoring and support with emotional skills are available.

Literacy and numeracy support

Extra sessions help students build confidence and strengthen core skills.

Careers guidance

Students are supported to explore their next steps into education, training or employment.

Safeguarding and Student Welfare

Safeguarding

BCIS is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for students, staff and visitors.

We ensure everyone feels confident and safe to share concerns about their own safety or the wellbeing of others.

Mental Health Support and Art Therapy

Students can access a range of services supporting those who may be struggling with anxiety or low mood.

Student Welfare

Our confidential welfare and guidance service supports students by understanding their individual circumstances and ensuring they receive appropriate assistance.

Where needed, the Student Services team works with external professionals and organisations to provide access to emergency financial support, housing advice and Early Help services.
